Composition

Each 150 g contains:

• Spectinomycin Sulphate Tetrahydrate: 100.86 g (equivalent to 66.70 g Spectinomycin base)
• Lincomycin Hydrochloride: 37.76 g (equivalent to 33.30 g Lincomycin base)

Description

The combination of lincomycin and spectinomycin exhibits additive, and in some cases, synergistic antibacterial activity. Spectinomycin demonstrates bacteriostatic or bactericidal effects, depending on the dose, primarily against Gram-negative organisms such as *Campylobacter* spp., *E. coli*, *Salmonella* spp., and *Mycoplasma* spp. Lincomycin acts predominantly as a bacteriostatic agent against Gram-positive bacteria, including *Staphylococcus* spp., *Streptococcus* spp., and *Brachyspira* spp. It should be noted that cross-resistance with macrolides may occur.

Indications

For the treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory infections in swine and poultry caused by microorganisms sensitive to spectinomycin and lincomycin, including but not limited to *Campylobacter* spp., *E. coli*, *Mycoplasma* spp., *Salmonella* spp., *Staphylococcus* spp., *Streptococcus* spp., and *Brachyspira* spp.

• Swine: Indicated for the treatment of enteritis caused by *Lawsonia intracellularis* (ileitis).
• Poultry: For the prevention and treatment of chronic respiratory disease (CRD) associated with mycoplasma and coliform infections in growing poultry susceptible to this antibiotic combination.

Contraindications

• Known hypersensitivity to lincomycin and/or spectinomycin.
• Concurrent use with penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones, or cycloserine.
• Administration to animals with severely impaired renal function.

Side Effects

• Hypersensitivity reactions may occur.

Dosage and Administration

For oral administration:

• Swine: 150 g per 1,500 liters of drinking water for 7 days.
• Poultry: 150 g per 200 liters of drinking water for 5–7 days.

Withdrawal Periods

• Meat:
• Swine: 0 days
• Poultry: 5 days

Not for use in poultry producing eggs intended for human consumption.
